Festive look-part 1: Traditional Look

I can smell festival in the air. And, how can I keep myself cool without creating a look? This is the much-awaited time of the year when Indian women are struck by the fashion fever. Hence, I have come up for the first time with a post to share my look in a saree a very traditional way.

My look in saree

My love affair with sarees began when I was a teenager. I wore saree for the first time on Durga Ashtami when I was just 16. And hey, it was not from my mom's closet! It was purely mine. Since then, every Ashtami, during Durgapuja I wear a saree. It's obvious, bro! Well, my first look post also to show you how I (read you) style for the Ashtami morning 'Anjali' ready.

I've had a lots of traditional sarees in my wardrobe. I collected them from various states of India and Bangladesh. The one I have worn today a pure Muslin saree from Bangladesh. This is so gorgeous that you can wear at a wedding party too. I've worn a red designer blouse. You can wear a golden one instead.

As it's a traditional look with a gorgeous saree, I have tried bold makeup. The eye makeup is heavy on glitters, while the lips are hot matte red. And, it's very important to prep your skin before makeup. Well prepared skin not only becomes a perfect canvas for applying foundation, but it helps your makeup stay longer. And, I couldn't stop myself wearing a big red bindi. It's a must! While you're creating a traditional look.
