Review of Re'equil Oxybenzone & OMC Free Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 PA+++

Once I visited my dermatologist asking her for a good anti-aging cream. And surprisingly, she prescribed a sunscreen lotion with a SPF 30 and PA+++. Do you know what she told me then? "The fact is, with the power of protecting skin damage, sunburn and also skin cancer, using a sunscreen lotion daily will significantly slows skin aging, even in middle-aged people." Since then, sun protection lotion has become my absolute love. I use one every day whether I stay indoors or step out to my work. I buy a lot Sunscreen lotions too. Today, I am going to share my latest favorite Re'equil Ozybenzone & OMC Free Sunscreen lotion. Let's start with the review.

What are Oxybenzone and OMC?

Oxybenzone and Octylmethoxycinnamate (OMC) are commonly used chemical agents in sunscreens. They can penetrate deep into the skin, and trigger allergic reactions, hormonal imbalances and make the skin sensitive leading to acne and break outs. And studies also point to potential risk of skin cancer and breast cancer with use of sunscreens that contain Oxybenzone. Oxybenzone has also been spoken to disturb aquatic environment by discolouring the coral reefs.

My Experience:

The gel like consistency of the product is lightweight and easy to apply on the skin. It's a perfect formula for combination or oily skin. It doesn't leave any visible white residue on the skin. Me and my son both have been using this for quite a long time. Mine is combination skin while his is super oily and we both sweat a lot. Whichever sunscreen we use gives sweating and rashes consequently. Then I purchased this one from Amazon and using every day.

Every day I apply the sunscreen lotion 20 minutes before I step out. I can see that I sweat very less during this hot and humid weather. It gives a matte finish and works as a primer too. Gives long time protection against both the sun rays and I don't have to reapply. I don't see any tan on my skin. The lotion moisturizes and hydrates well. My skin feels quite comfortable and not a single breakout I have seen.

Overall, I am quite happy with it and I am going to repurchase this as I finish the current one. Strongly recommend to those who are looking for a good SPF for oily, acne prone skin and even sensitive skin people too can try this. The good news for the sensitive skin people is that it has no such fragrance. And hence no issue of getting rashes or breakouts. If you have dry skin, apply your regular moisturizer before applying the lotion.

What is your favorite sunscreen lotion?

Pro tip: Use a sunscreen lotion every morning, even if you stay indoors you have to apply it and the recommended time is 8am to 4pm. Don't skip your sunscreen on a cloudy or winter morning.

Thanks for reading.
